Cindy Belardo, (she/her) is a proud Asian, Hispanic and Native American Woman who is Oklahoma-born, now Massachusetts-based. Her background in Environmental Studies, Pre-medicine and Yoga has helped her journey to co-create Sunny, a self care company dedicated to ending period poverty.

Period poverty, as she defines it, is the lack of access to safe, innovative product options at an affordable price, the lack of period education and thus the lack of bodily autonomy.To solve this issue, Sunny co-creates a vision for a better world through safe, eco-friendly, effective, and affordable period products, honest education and global giveback.

We created the only FDA Cleared reusable period cup and applicator, the Sunny Cup and Applicator. This is the first of its kind to address tampon users #1 barrier to switch to a menstrual cup: the intimidating insertion process.The Sunny team believes that period care is a human right and nobody should have to settle for unsafe, ineffective period care.

We believe that options are everything, especially ones that align with our bodies and our planet. Period care should be as celebrated and easy as ice cream.
