We created a menstrual cup that inserts like a tampon. Sunny ends the fuss of inserting a menstrual cup while working to end period poverty through our global giveback program.

OUR VALUES

Historically, people have dismissed women and menstruators’ needs. However, we’ve listened, we’ve researched, and now we’re doing something about it. We created the Sunny Cup and Applicator in direct response to what we’ve learned. More than that, we are dedicated to self care without compromise. We are here to co-create the future of self care with YOU.

Our Team here at Sunny is on a mission to:

- Be a global resource for honest education.
- Give back to our community to help End Period Poverty.

TEAM

Cindy, our CEO and Co-Founder learned about the menstrual cup as an eco-friendly alternative to tampons. This started her journey in 2018 into period care, leading a team on a trip to India to introduce a town of women to menstrual cups. There, she learned about period poverty, period taboos and the need for honest education. Her passion for body positivity led to the start of her company.

Drew, our CMO and Co-Founder, began looking into menstrual cups for a business idea pitch competition in high school. She found that while not a perfectly innovative product, they had many benefits. While learning about period care, she came across the term Period Poverty. Long story short, she decided then to make it her mission to make a better period product and for it to be accessible to all.

It was by chance that the two met, but they instantly knew they were two pieces to the same puzzle. Together they grew their company and passion for periods and self care as a whole. Together, they created the best eco-friendly products, honest education, and giveback program.

Jennifer, our Project Manager, has a passion for organization and helping others. She had irregular periods growing up and it got her curious about her health. She is excited to combine her professional skills and her love for personal development, by being a part of educating others on self-care and giving back to the community!

Cinestie, our Social Media and Communications Specialist, began working with Sunny in August 2022. She has been an avid user of menstrual cups since she was in high school, after finding out she would be having her period during her first prom (and she was wearing a white dress). Since then, she's been convincing her friends and family to make the switch to a more sustainable period product, and now gets to advocate for so many other menstruators through Sunny!

Danielle is passionate about systems, simplicity, and accessible period care. She recently joined Sunny, bringing 7 years of experience in the menstrual cup and medical device industry. Frustrated with traditional period products in her youth, she wants to empower menstruators to live fully, even on their periods!
