Meet the Sunny Cup + Applicator!!!

  • by Cindy Belardo

Meet Sunny, the reusable menstrual cup and applicator that was designed with YOU in mind!

Who: Sunny was founded by an AMAZING team of women, passionate about making a difference for everyone who has a period’s access to period products!

Cindy Belardo is from Oklahoma where she studied environmental studies pre-medicine. She led a team to India to research menstruators’ first-time menstrual cup use. She took her findings and did a TEDx talk on what she learned!

Drew Jarvis is from Indiana where she’s graduating from the Kelley School of Business in May of 2022. She first came up with an idea for a menstrual cup that inserts like a tampon when she was a senior in high school!

What: The Sunny Cup + Applicator is the first beginner-friendly reusable menstrual cup that inserts like a tampon. It has ultra-thin wall sections that allow it to fold as thin as a tampon and fit inside of our reusable applicator. It is then inserted like a tampon and helps form the seal on its own!

When: Sunny was founded in 2019, and now, almost 4 years later, we anticipate shipping at the end of 2022, around the holidays! Your pre-orders are directly funding manufacturing, so the more pre-orders we get, the faster we can get them to you! Thank you for supporting our small business! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at hello@sunnyperiod.com

We love the Sunny Cup because it is:

  • Is much more sustainable than other period products on the market (Saves thousands of period products from going into landfills each year!!

Here at Sunny, we are also working to bring awareness to and fight against period poverty, because 14.2% of menstruating Americans have experienced period poverty in the past year.
